*Visiting the Sick, HOMEBOUND, AND ELDERLY is an integral part of Chabad OF fhn community programs. We know that healing is facilitated through the visits of caring, sensitive men and women. both rabbi mendy and Members of our Visitation volunteer Committee reach out to those at home and in hospitals with utmost care to provide a helping hand for those in need.

*LOCAL Nursing Homes, rEHAB CENTERS, AND ASSISTED LIVING are visited by THE Chabad of FHN rabbi daily and prior to holidays, or upon request. These visits are important to bring joy and love to the elderly AND THOSE RECOVERING. OFFICIAL WEEKLY AND HOLIDAY SERVICES ARE DONE AT THE LOCAL ATRIA SENIOR LIVING CENTER AND OTHER FACILITIES BY rABBI MENDY HECHT.

*Prison Chaplaincy is another vital part of Chabad of FHN chaplaincy work; visiting while giving spiritual care and love to detainees in queens County prisons. At this vulnerable point in a prisoner's life, the hope and help offered by a spiritual mentor can make all the difference. The challenge does not end at the prisons, for many inmates need a helping hand to get back into society.

*Drug ADDICTION guidance to Rehabilitation Today more than ever is important due to the destructive effects of drug and alcohol abuse that threaten LIFE AND every facet of society especially here in queens NY. For people from all walks of life, drugs too often become a way of coping with unhappiness, loneliness, fear, and stress. The consequences of addiction on their lives and on the lives of those around them can be truly devastating. Chabad of fhn views drug and alcohol abuse as a symptom of a deeper problem. we have AND continue to GUIDe THOSE SUFFERING FROM ADDICTION AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH the BEST TOP OF THE LINE INPATIENT AND OUTPATIENT drug REHAB CENTERS ACROSS THE USA TO TURN TO FOR HELP THAT WILL GIVE THE BEST SPIRITUAL CARE AND JEWISH/KOSHER NEEDS.

*end of life Every Jew deserves to pass away with honor and dignity. Before and after the soul leaves the body, every aspect of the journey should be treated with holiness & respect. This includes the crucial need to bury every Jew in a Kosher and Traditional manner. rABBI MENDY WILL BE THERE FOR THE FAMILY PRIOR TO THE PASSING, PREPARE FOR THE FUNERAL, AND THE FUNERAL PROCESSION, the SHIVA OBSERVANCE, AS WELL AS THE UNVEILING OF THE TOMBSTONE, ALL WHILE ASSISTING IN THE MOST DIGNIFIED AND RESPECTFUL WAY WITH UTMOST SPIRITUAL LOVE AND CARE FOR THE FAMILY AND LOVED ONE THAT HAS DEPARTED.

*Kaddish Services FOR THE 7 DAYS OF MOURNING, YEAR, AND ANNUALLY, We ARRANGE regardless of background or affiliation, in a manner that preserves and enhances their dignity. wE ARE TAUGHT THAT THE KADDISH BRINGS THE SOUL TO THE MOST PEACEFUL RESTING PLACE UPON HIGH. portionS of the funds contributed for Kaddish will BE TO PAY FOR THE KADDISH TO BE SAID AND TO support CHABAD OF FHN NON FOR PROFIT ACTIVITIES.

*THE CHABAD OF FHN HELPING HAND INITIATIVE OFFERING FOOD AND CARE PACKAGES FOR THOSE IN NEED is expanding our already known work in the local community FOR helping others in many ways. We have been blessed to BRAND new marketing products to purchase exclusively for our Chabad OF FHN non for profit customized, for care packages to those in hospital, hospice END OF LIFE, Nursing homes, Rehab centers, and assisted livings, as well as homebound, after birth, and of course to the needy. The Helping Hand Initiative is already helping hundreds of community members from all walks of life and their families here in Forest Hills. We are constantly expanding and growing to many more members on a professional level in the utmost care and dignity with the help of these amazing quality products, i.e. designed cards, get well heart pillows, books of psalms and blessings, care packages consisting of food and get well gifts. This has already shown great feedback. We have also opened up new doors for the LOCAL residents with programing that entails interactive activities and hands on projects while teaching acts of goodness and kindness.
